It was at a point in his life where he was contemplating making a transition to art direction that the opportunity to co-found Brainferno presented itself to him and he decided to go all in on graphics and playback.
To quote Michael: “ It’s niche and weird and doesn’t have awards and I can’t really explain what it is, but I like it...”

Michael was a charismatic man known for many things: his quick wit, warm personality, fierce independence, and strong opinions on just about everything.
He was also well respected for his passionate devotion to, and vocal advocacy for, the LGTBQIA+ and Deaf communities he belonged to as well as his own firm moral code. One of the things Michael loved most about getting to form his own company was getting to impress his ethics and beliefs into the foundational fiber of what he was building here.
Michael was a charismatic man known for many things: his quick wit, warm personality, fierce independence, and strong opinions on just about everything.
He was also well respected for his passionate devotion to, and vocal advocacy for, the LGTBQIA+ and Deaf communities he belonged to as well as his own firm moral code. One of the things Michael loved most about getting to form his own company was getting to impress his ethics and beliefs into the foundational fiber of what he was building here.
He leaves a legacy of not only creative brilliance but of hard work and just being a good person and that is so ingrained in the ethos of Brainferno that it can never be erased.
We have suffered an incredible loss in losing Michael too soon; but his plans and dreams for what this company will be live on. Brainferno has every intention of continuing on, boldly, in the direction Michael helped plot.
We stand committed, in Michael's honor, to realizing our goals and plans for this industry as well as our support of the Deaf and LGBTQIA+ communities Michael held so dear. Michael may be gone but his legacy will live on.
